Terms of Use
These terms cover this website and the things you can do through it: coming to game days, joining The Flock, booking training and posting on our community board. By using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
Wheaton Wanderers FC is operated by Viva Praesentia, LLC, 930 N President St, Wheaton, IL 60187. Questions: hello@wheatonwanderersfc.com.
1. Who can use the site
You must be at least 13 to sign up for anything on this site. If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission, and they are responsible for your use of the site and anything you buy or book.
2. Game days and events
- Home games are free. An RSVP helps us plan but doesn't reserve a seat or guarantee entry. Space may be limited.
- Fixtures, kickoff times, venues and activities can change or be cancelled, including for weather, league decisions or safety. We'll post changes on our schedule as soon as we can.
- Football is a contact sport played with a hard ball. Balls can leave the field, and spectator areas are outdoors on uneven ground. You attend at your own risk and are responsible for watching where you are.
- Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times, including at the kids' clinic, the kids' pitch and Wanderland activities. Some activities may ask a parent or guardian to sign a waiver before a child takes part.
- Please follow staff instructions, park rules and the venue's rules. We can refuse entry to, or ask to leave, anyone who is abusive, unsafe or disruptive.
- We photograph and film game days. Photos may show people in the crowd. See our Privacy Policy for how to ask us to take one down.
3. The Flock membership
- The Flock costs $5 a month. You're charged when you join, then on the same date every month. It renews automatically until you cancel.
- You can cancel anytime online through the “Manage or cancel membership” link on our Flock page, or by emailing us. Cancelling stops the next charge. Your perks continue until the end of the month you've paid for.
- Perks depend on the season and may change. If we change the price, we'll email you at least 30 days before it takes effect, and you can cancel before then.
- Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
4. Training and the Academy
Training starts with a free call booked through Calendly. Prices are shown on our training page, and we agree the plan and payment with you before your first paid session. Players take part at their own risk and should tell the coach about any injury or medical condition before a session. Players under 18 need a parent or guardian's permission, and a parent or guardian may be asked to sign a waiver. Cancellations follow our Refund Policy.
5. Shop
Our merchandise is sold through our Shopify store at shop.wheatonwanderersfc.com. Orders there are covered by the terms, shipping and refund policies shown at that store's checkout.
6. The community board and anything you post
- Ideas and comments you post are public. Only post things you're happy for anyone to see, and don't post anyone else's personal details.
- No abuse, harassment, hate, threats, spam, adverts, illegal content or anything that infringes someone else's rights.
- You keep ownership of what you post. You give us permission to show it on our site and to use your idea to improve the club, without payment.
- We may edit, hide or remove any post, and we aren't responsible for what users post. To report a post, email hello@wheatonwanderersfc.com.
7. Using the site
Please don't misuse the site. That includes trying to break or overload it, getting into areas you're not allowed into, scraping it in bulk, or using it to send spam.
8. Our name, crest and content
The Wheaton Wanderers name, crest, Rickle the flamingo, kit designs, photos, text and graphics on this site belong to us or are used with permission. You can share links and screenshots for personal, non-commercial use. Please don't use our name or crest to sell anything or to suggest we endorse you without our written permission. Partner names and logos belong to their owners and are shown with their permission. League and other third-party names belong to their owners.
If you think something on our site infringes your rights, email us with the details and we'll look into it promptly.
9. Other sites
We link to services we don't run, such as Partiful, Calendly, Stripe, Shopify and social networks. Their own terms and privacy policies apply there, and we aren't responsible for them.
10. No guarantees
We work hard to keep this site accurate and working, but it's provided “as is.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we don't promise it will always be available, error-free or up to date.
11. Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Viva Praesentia, LLCand its members, staff, players and volunteers aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of this site. Our total liability to you for any claim about the site or something you bought through it is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for our own negligence where the law doesn't allow that to be excluded.
12. If something goes wrong
Please email us first so we can try to fix it. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Any dispute will be handled by the state or federal courts serving DuPage County, Illinois, unless the law gives you the right to bring it somewhere else.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change affects your Flock membership, we'll email you before it applies.
